Meeting to discuss survey of MARS route crossing the upper neck of Smooth Ridge

Problem: ROV Video transects indicate that up to 3 m high scarps cross the current MARS cable route at the upper neck of Smooth Ridge. We need high resolution bathymetry to plan a route that avoids any scarps higher than 1 m.

Characteristics of Mapping AUV Bathymetry:
	1 degree X 1 degree beams
		Nadir footprint 0.017 * altitude
		20 m altitude - 0.34 m footprint
		50 m altitude - 0.87 m footprint
		100 m altitude - 1.7 m footprint
	Useful bathymetric swath is 120 degrees wide
	
Proposed Survey
	Use 50 altitude giving 170 m wide swath
	Use 150 m line spacing
