-Shipping Kearfotts came just in time. -Nobody talked to us or interacted prior to Korean science party boarding -Long wait to start doing anything, They didn't want us acessing anything or opening the containers. -Tracking system was broken on arrival (looks like pole retracs into sea chest so replacing heads is feasible) -crew was good for setting up antennas high on top of the bridge. -good we brought spare Ranger 1 system. -Deck ops were very conservitive. -AUV ramp has a tendicy to fall off while moving auvs could do with mounting pins. -Add tailcone packing foam for shipping. -Remove prop and duct. -Kearfott needs new mounting bracket (stripped helocoils and cracked foam) -Hard hats required on deck at all times. -Did not want ops team working in mapping lab -One battery charging power supply died part way through the expedition. -First few attempts at small boat recoveries were nasty (shackle did not work well) -small boat too fast -needed to shift vehical back so tailcone was safe -used boat cleats to hold mid line secure -imporant to get ship as close as possible to vehicle to mizimze distance traveled on small boat. -Ended up using locking hook and slings (with velcro loop to keep organized) -Cracked USBL cover in MApper1 durring small boat recovery -We burned a drop weight (using multiple aborts) on first Mapper 1 mission when it was driving erratically due to trim problems -Randy talked about bringing quck relase HW so one could do a ballast check prior to commiting to launch. -Had edgetech noise issues which were dfixed by reseating connectors -only the Johnson lab Satphone was recieving SBD's reliably -SBD's where very important on foggy days -Would be nice if we didn't have to be running around moving laptops from the van to the bridge and back. -Sometimes radio coms sucked -1 dead vehical recovery because we ran mapper 1's batteries out. RDF was very weak SBD very important.
