wp2mc .exe is an interactive or command-line utility which generates a mission file for the CTD_AUV.

Suggested interactive use:

First, create a new local directory and copy wp2mc.exe into it.

Next, create a plain text file of decimal-degrees waypoints, one position on each line of the text file, in this format:

36.8167 -121.8171
36.8215 -121.7986

Then invoke the wp2mc utility with the command:

wp2mc --interactive

The utility will prompt for the waypoint file name, and if it reads the file successfully, will then present a list of mission variable parameters with default values displayed.

To modify a paramater, type the number of the parameter to change. Once all the parameters are correct for your mission, type 0 (zero).

Then you will be prompted: Will this be a YOYO mission ? Enter Y or N.

If you enter Y, a list of default YOYO Mission Parameters are presented for your inspection and modification if necessary. As before, please enter the number for the parameter to change. When all the parameters appear correct, type 0 (zero).

The utility next asks: Will this be a GULPER Mission? Enter Y or N.

Finally, the utility presents you with the message:

The Gulpers will be armed at mission start

Remember to move the Gulper behaviors if necessary

Hit any key to continue

After you hit a key, the utility will list out the files written to the directory which you created
(eg):
**** Wrote mission script: 2015_146_2023.cfg***

Winfrog waypoints and survey line files will be created, as well as a .csv file which can be opened by Excel.

BE SURE TO CROSS - CHECK PROGRAM OUTPUT WAYPOINTS AGAINST THE ORIGINAL WAYPOINTS LIST.
