Here's the sampling grid revised according to Francisco's suggestions: we'll be going SEward on the long alongshore transect. The dashed line in the attached figure is the inner domain of the Harvard model. Doug Conlin, the Marine Tech on the Pt Sur, said the previous grid with cross-shore transects looked ok, but if we encounter any weather, we'll be doglegging between stations and we may have to skip some stations at the end of the cruise. Should we come up with a plan on how to skip stations if necessary? The latest grid has us steaming into port along one of the interior lines and my first guess would be just to stop sampling along this line when the time comes.
