I was waiting to hear from Marcia, thought it would not be till Wed, but she got back to me almost instantly.  The light is very green, although Steve may well chip in

Keith -

I just want to be sure, a previous note indicated a Wednesday PCO answer to Tom has

that been addressed already and we are on? Not that I doubt your green light but I

wanted to be sure it's not a slightly green light. J

Thanks - Bill

Bill,

Although the relatively small delay to the completion of the DMO vehicle, and to the start of the CTD AUV transects, is regrettable, the case for supporting the Haddock and Ryan cruises is strong, from both the perspective of their science, and to the fact that the resources for supporting their cruises are already approved in their proposals for 2002.   Marcia, Jim and Ken have indicated that they are generally supportive of the use of the ALTEX vehicle for the Haddock and Ryan cruises in August, so if you were looking for a green light, its green,

Keith

Attached are the documents that Hans and Sib put together for the

PCO on what it would take for the ALTEX vehicle to be used in support

of the Ryan/Haddock cruise.

Both Ryan and Haddock are aware of the proposal and I've been led

to believe that Haddock will be answering questions regarding

science.

I'm available also to answer any questions the PCO might have. Please let

me know the next step and if anything else is required for a review by management.

Thanks - Bill
