This code is the merge of code from 7/10/2002, 7/20/2002, and 7/22/2002. The merge was required to resolve differences created when Bill and Wayne made undocumented changes
while doing some work around 7/10 weekend, as well as some code that they changed during
the week of 7/20 while investigating the RTC issues. This all had to be merged with
changed I had made to better power manage the DPA power (7/22). This code compiles and 
runs...hopefully, I have not dropped any major fixes or created any new bugs. klh
