This directory contains a freeware shutdown utility for 
remote WinXP shutdown via serial console administration.

1. Using Target Designer, install the shutdown.sld into the ramanpc.slx
configuration.

2. Build and install OS on compact flash.

Test shutdown via serial port

3. Using a *NULL modem cable. Open session in Hyperterminal 
with the settings 19200, N, 8, 1. Hardware flow control. 
Connect to LRS (DORISS II bottomside computer) COM1.

*Cable pin-out should be swapped RTS-CTS (2-3), RTS-CTS (7-8), DSR-DTR(6-4)

4. Hit enter, you should see the login screen. No user or password is
required.

5. Enter shutdown 3 FORCE

Sytem should FORCE all processes to terminate, and restart the system.
