Digiflex®
DriveSuite v. 2.2.6 Installation Notes

This
document provides important information on the installation of the
Digiflex® DriveSuite setup software and upgrade of drive
firmware.

Requirements

Windows
operating system (Win 3.x, 95, 98 NT, 2000, XP)

6MB
hard drive space
-
Available
COM port (COM 1, 2, 3, or 4)
Installation
-
Extract all files from the .zip file.

Double
click on AMC_DriveSuite.exe to begin the installation program.
Firmware
Upgrade
!!!IMPORTANT
NOTE!!! Firmware
Upgrades must be performed at a baud rate of 9600bps and a drive address
of 63. Attempts
to upgrade at any other rate or address will render the drive useless and will need
to be returned to Advanced Motion Controls.

Connect
to a drive and set the baud rate to 9600bps and drive
address to 63. Once connected, on the Menu Bar select Communication
--> Store to ensure this connection rate and address are stored
to drive non-volatile memory.

Select
Communication --> Firmware from the Menu Bar.

Click
Browse and select the appropriate firmware file for upgrade
(see chart below to select based on drive type and operating mode):
Note:
Torque Mode operation is still available when using Velocity Mode firmware.

Click
Start Firmware Download to begin upgrade.

When
upgrade is complete, click OK. Please note that the
program may pause for a few seconds before returning to the main Block
Diagram.

more about new drive features.
