Stability

Stable. Substances to be avoided include most common metals, organic materials, strong reducing agents, bases, strong oxidising agents. Reaction with many metals is rapid or violent, and generates hydrogen (flammable, explosion hazard).

Toxicology

Corrosive, the more concentrated solutions can cause serious burns to the mouth, eyes and skin. Toxic. Harmful by ingestion and through skin contact.
