This manual page describes how to create CODAS databases from DNMI data files, with emphasis on the related utilities at GFI.
Currently implemented DNMI input files and associated producer definition files are:
This class of data files is meant to contain results from numerical models from The Norwegian Meteorological Institute. For this purpose, three CODAS database block variables have been added: X, Y and Z. Because the format of these files is very primitive, access and movements through these is very slow. Hence, selecting an area of interest and loading it into a CODAS database will accelerate processing steps involving these data.
The main utility for loading these data is loaddnmi(1).
