  1. NAME

GFI CTD - Quick Reference for CTD CODAS Databases

  2. DESCRIPTION

This manual page describes how to create CODAS databases from CTD data
files and bottle samples, with emphasis on the instrumentation at GFI.

  3. LOADING CTD DATA

The following input format with corresponding utilities are
  implemented:

  o NODC (see load_ctd(1))

  o WOHI (see load_ctd(1))

  o WOCE (see load_ctd(1))

  o C78 (see load_ctd(1))

  o SBE (see load_sbe(1))

  o ODF (see load_odf(1))

Post-processed CTD SeaSoar data acquired with xacq on M/S Hakon Mosby
are in C78 format. To load processed CTD data aquired with SeaBird's
SEASOFT package, use scan_sbe(1) and load_sbe(1). The former is used
to check the syntax in header files for use in the latter.

  4. LOADING BOTTLE SAMPLES

Loading bottle samples can be performed with load_btl(1) and
load_sbe(1). For bottle samples acquired with with SeaBird's SEASOFT
  package, use load_sbe(1).
