PTO Replacement Junction

Requirements

Design

This is a polycarbonate box with the necessary DC/DC converter for supplying power to the top of the EM cable and passing 3-wire CAN as well. The unit will have the same bulkhead as the PTO and a dorn gland for a whip that will plug into a MC style bulkhead on the top of the EMCABLE.

The bulkhead on the top of the EM cable will match pinout with the bulkhead already wired at the bottom.

The DC/DC in the box will be the same DC/DC and carrier board as used in the Spring Controller electronics. MBARI has spares, but a board build must be ordered, lead time 1-2 weeks.

All other parts are in stock if a potted splice acceptable 2' above the connection to the top of the EM Cable. If not, a cable at the appropriate distance can be made for the same cost, but has a 4-6 week lead time.
