To follow on last week's discussion of the ESB cloud, I would like to introduce GigaSpaces as an example of where that leads and how I had envisioned MULE's as the mediator role at the boundaries of the architecture. Attached are three documents from Gigaspaces. I would like to take 20 min of today's discussion to review some of the diagrams in the "Gigispaces-Mule" and the "P2PCluster" documents, in particular diagrams on pages 7, 9, 14 & 15 of the "GigaSpaces-Mule" and pages 3, 7, 9 & 10 from the "P2P" doc. The "FromDeadEndToOpenRoad" executive summary is very good overview of where I see this heading and why. The processing of financial transactions is very similar to the processing of streaming data feeds so their observations as applicable to us as they are to financial markets. The Voca document I pass to show the convergence on the same architectural underpinnings that Kevin and the Mule engineer pointed to last week. Has a look at slides 14, 23 and 24. Read at your leisure.
