Here's a brief summary of where we are with OBC West B. 1) Today we are able to communicate via a serial port to OBC West B clock (shore), but not to the subsea unit 2) We subsequently hooked the OBC B to the digiport (port4) and are able to telnet 10.91.128.66 2004 and do a #CKBH and receive the help screen. [Note if you use port 2104, then you need to set telnet session to character mode for this to work] 3) Comms to the subsea (#S01B or #C01B) do not work. Kevin is checking the fiber connections/documentation. Perhaps Fritz can touch base with him later today or tomorrow and work with him on this. 4) It would be nice to see if we can take advantage of the realport virtual serialport for the obc/sail timing. I downloaded the Digi RealPort drivers (and put it in /usr/local/src/DigiRealport). The drivers need to be installed perhaps Pete can do this for us as it looks like it requires some kernel source modules that are not loaded.
