Hi Brian,  

Attached is an example XML file generated from a 13 second segment of a benthic dive for you to test. This is a first cut at schema instance. This is more detail than you need for VARS, but it's a start.  Please note that this XML file does not include the Classification or SourceMetaData elements because we are currently working on the tools that fill in these element attributes.  So stay tuned for more info...

I've also attached an mpeg of the processed results to help you understand what the XML represents.  This is basically the original clip overlayed with bounding boxes. You'll notice the "ObjectID" for the animal is a simple index for now. 

Please do what you can with this for now. Keep in mind the final working XML will be much smaller and will include only the "best"  frame representation of an animal, classification details and links to mpeg clips.  As we move forward, we will refine the XML schema and XML output files from AVED to what makes sense.
