Note that each sensor has its own unique network address. Also note that each sensor has an 8 pin male SubConn microseries BH connector. Es Master (Wiring to Controller) 1 - 12 vdc 2 - power and RS232 ground (to controller serial com port} 3 - NC (rs485 T+) 4 - NC (rs485 T-) 5 - RS232 Transmit {to controller serial com port) 6 - RS232 Receive 7 - SATNet Na 8 - SATNet Nb ED/Lu Slave sensors at 2 depths (Wiring from Controller) 1 - 12 vdc 2 - power ground 3 - NC 4 - NC 5 - NC 6 - NC 7 - SATNet Na 8 - SATNet Nb So, 1,2,7 and 8 are a common connection through the system. The controller receives data from all sensors via the Es sensor through RS232 serial telemetry. Each underwater sensor can be contacted from the surface through the Es RS232 interface via hyperterminal. The Es sensor can be swapped on and off the buoy without any subsurface sensor adjustments as long as it is configured as a master device. New slaves can be added or swapped without programming the master as long as they are configured as slaves. When system power is applied the Es sensor automatically looks for and subsequently provides data from each slave on the node. Hope this helps and please don't hesitate to ask questions.
