Bullet points for Benthic Rover

¥ Deployed for two test dives to 1000 m in Monterey Bay from the RV Pt. Lobos and observed with ROV Ventana in July; getting permits from the Sanctuary was not easy

¥ Deployed for three test dives to 4200 m at Station M, 250 km east of the Central California coast, in Aug from the RV Atlantis and observed with  DSV Alvin.

¥ All test dives were successful and resulted in numerous minor design changes

¥ Basic platform is operational; now adding instrumentation

¥ Will deploy for additional test dives in Monterey Bay from the RV Western Flyer in December, and connect to MARS in 2007
