If you are updating TattleTools-PC from an earlier version, please delete all copies of TTOOLS.CRS, TTOOLS.CFG and TTOOLS.HLP before loading this new version. This is important to everyone - You must place the files TTOOLS.EXE (the TattleTools executable file), TTOOLS.CFG (TattleTools current serial port configuration), TTOOLS.HLP (the TattleTools help file) and TTOOLS.CRS (a resource file containing the menus and dialog boxes used by TattleTools) in a directory that is listed in your PATH. This way, no matter where you execute TattleTools from, you will always have access to the help system and the resources. Also, it keeps multiple configuration files from being created in each directory you work in. PLEASE NOTE - TattleTools will not start without access to the resource file TTOOLS.CRS. =========================================================================== There are two subdirectories on this disk. TTHEX contains the TTBASIC operating system (in Hex file format) for each Tattletale model. You will not need these under normal circumstances. They are included only when you need to load a comletely new version of TTBASIC. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The other directory contains the TTBATCH utility. There is a document in the directory explaining its use. In essence, this is a program that can control the Tattletale (stop and start programs, load new programs, off- load datafiles etc.) without being in the TTOOLS environment. You can write batch files to control the operation of the Tattletale.
