When you select the ADD function, a blank object is inserted into the current layout at the default location and size. The object can be configured as required by setting the appropriate properties in the Properties Window. Move the object to the required location and adjust its size to suit your requirements. Note that you can not resize an object until its type has been defined.

When you select the DELETE function, you will have the option to remove the current selected object from the layout. To remove the object press YES, if you press NO the operation will be aborted. If multiple objects are selected they will all be removed.
