FUNCTION

The GUARD KEY object enables you to place a guard key on the display as required. The object can be manipulated as follows:

• can be moved to the desired position and resized
• background and text colour can be changed
• font style, size, alignment can be changed
• can be emphasized with the bold attribute
• can be highlighted by enabling the 'outline' frame
• can set guard delay time from 100ms to 10000ms

USAGE INFORMATION

The GUARD KEY button is use in conjunction with IO key objects, to provide a level of protection against accidental activation of a system function. This is particularly important for hydraulic functions, where accidental activation could be dangerous.

When the button is activated, guard status will remain active for the defined delay time, after which the guard status will be cleared. IO keys that are regulated by the guard function will only operate when the guard status is active.
