DESIGN MODE - OBJECT EDITING
During the design process, objects are manipulated to suit users diverse requirements for representing information or data. To select an object use the mouse cursor to click on the required object. When selected, an object is highlighted in RED and will be affected by actions and property changes when they occur. The position of an object can be adjusted by clicking and holding the left mouse button over the required object. Once held, move the mouse to drag the object to the required postion within the layout. To re-size an object, click the right mouse button within the bounds of the selected object. The cursor will change to a vertical cross (indicating resize mode) then click and hold the left mouse button within the bounds of the selected object to change its size and shape. When you release the left mouse button the cursor will revert to a pointer to indicate move mode.
Objects can be selected in groups to assist in layout design and common property configuration. To select a group of objects for modification, click the left mouse button over the background and drag the selection box to cover all the objects required for selection. The selection box must be placed outside the border of all objects that are required. When a group is selected, the group can be moved using the [ctrl]arrow keys and 'common' properties, i.e. colour size, position etc. can be set in the properties window.
