The best data set to start with is science.nc at ftp://ftp.mbari.org/pub/dk/ . Mike Godin assembled this from the individual files, and Dorota has been working with the data making movies. I’m not sure where the latest versions are but there are some in JGB’s temp directory. All the data is stored in the project library at \\Tornado\projectlibrary\900739.LRAUV.Data\Testing\2011\2011_09_26_WF_Deployment_42\Logs The individual directories are labeled YYYYMMDDTHHMMSS using UTC. In each directory there is a science.nc file that should contain the data you are looking for. To assist you in finding the particular log file you are looking for there is a kml file \\Tornado\projectlibrary\900739.LRAUV.Data\Testing\2011\2011_09_26_WF_Deployment_42\Logs\LogFileListing.kml Open this in Google Earth. The deployment is broken into sub folders labeled "OutwardBound", "TrackingADrifter", "HomewardBound" and "TurbulenceSurvey". In each subfolder there is a link to the decimated data set web page that corresponds to that data file. For example, the log file that corresponds to 20111006T161944 is the first day of drifter tracking. That folder includes a link to this web page http://aosn.mbari.org/sbdlogs/tethys/2011/201110/20111006T161944/ . Browsing the decimated data sets allows for quickly finding the log files of interest which can then be downloaded from the project library link above.
