On 5/10 We attempted communication from the Paragon's transom and were not able to establish comms. Today, 5/14, we heard the BED turn on its modem and after a couple attempts to connect, we finally did. The BED baud rate had to be reduced to 300 bps via the topside deck box in order to make any sense of the response from the BED. Power was reduced -6 dB at a couple points and things still continued to work fine. NoMotionThresh was set to 8. In terms of communication reliability, something has changed since the 4/26 cruise when data transfer was accomplished through the Paragon's transom.
