The following files support VLCTs without magnets:

7815PRG1.BAS

Modified version of VLCTR6F.BAS (JEK) to trap for Com Port errors and
keyboard errors, with improved user interface.


7815PRG2.BAS

As above but with the option to support PCs with only one Com Port.
The user enters the number of Com Ports on his machine.
NOTE: This was sent to CGG on 12.3.97.


7815PRG3.BAS

As above but the number of Com Ports is automatically determined without
the operator's input.
NOTE: This is still being tested / developed (13.3.97)


7815PRG4.BAS        (21.5.97)

This is a development of 7815PRG2.BAS (i.e. supports one or two Com Ports
but cannot automatically determine the number of ports without the user's
intervention).
The main addition is a screen display to signify the status of the 
transponder. Previously, the ANT's front-panel LED was used to briefly
flicker, indicating a successful interrogation. This program displays
a clear screen message instead. The advancement is achieved by utilising
the ANT's recent firmware upgrade which allows the automatic measurement 
of Turn-Around-Time (Firmware Version 2.19).

Please note therefore, that ANT Firmware Version 2.19 or subsequent issues
can only be used


7815PRG5.BAS        (31.10.97)

Updated 7815PRG4.BAS (actually downgraded) to do the following:
1. Allow only VLCT Programming to occur - making the ANT redundant
2. Convert for use with the older-type VLCTs with magnets


7815PRG6.BAS        (14.1.98)   - NOTE: I have called this Version 2

Identical to 7815PRG4.BAS except that the MBARI addressing scheme is used.
Here, the ID is comprised of TZ number & address, in that order.
The address is (Normal address - 4).
Addresses range from 0 to 9.
TZ numbers range from 1 to 9.
Example: A5-5 is 51 in MBARI-speak.
         A7-6 is 63

I improved the presentation slightly on 6.1.99.
