HomerPro: # 57 VHF Beacon: 154.585 MHz, Channel D Recovery Procedure: 1) At MARS, disconnect strain relief snap hook from SES extension cable. 2) Verify that MARS port 3 is powered off. 3) Unplug ODI Nautilus connector marked "SES" from port 3. 4) Fly Nautilus back to SES and place onto docking port. 5) Release recovery line from SES frame. It is up to the pilots and boat crew as to whether they want to snap a small float onto the end of the line to aid in recovery at the surface. 6) Back ROV away for safety and to lower acoustic interference. 7) Issue release codes from Benthos deck box. Either one of the releases should drop the weight. 8) If there is room on the porch and the swimmies are on the ROV then recover the drop weight. 9) Recover the ROV. 10 Recover the SES. There will be at least 35 m of cable hanging down so be prepared with a boat hook and avoid moving the boat forward or port to keep the cable out of the screws. Things needed on ROV: 1) Small float with snap hook for recovery line, if desired by pilots and crew. 2) Swimmies if there's room on porch to recover drop weight. 3) Knife to cut SES drop weight line in case releases don't work. There is no manual release on the SES.
