## LASS 2025 Prospectus

### Year at a glance

* March: Accept WiSSLv2
* April 1-3 Ventana: Lidar Testing, April 2 & 3 are 12 hour days.
* May 1-2 Ventana: Lidar Testing, 12 hour days.
* May 12: Abstract with Concept Design
* October 14-23: Joint Troni & Micallef Cruise (sled change tbd)

#### Ongoing Efforts

* TCU Upgrades (new PCS)
* LASS Stack PCB rev D
* PHINS+DVL Integration
* Jason Integration (depends on proposal review)


## WiSSLv2 Updates

* New FAT expected late February, early March
* We may have to delay the temperature sensing feature to create a partial FAT and be onboard.

## Scoping Study Discussion

### Functional Requirements

Revisitation shows that much is covered here, but Dave updated some for us:

* Duration: 24 hours cycle (i.e. 16 operating, 8 turnaround)
* Survey Area
  * Current surveys are 0.2 m/s for 8 hours to cover a 100m x 100m box
* 6KM depth rating
* Primary Products:
  * Multibeam soundings & water column data
  * Lidar (360 slightly obstructed)
  * Images
