This is a first-cut draft of an online guide to the fauna of Sta. M. As you will see, many animals need further identification and/ or corrections. Please feel free to browse the slide shows and provide comments and/ or identification information (email: hruhl@ucsd.edu). There are currently four sections, which will change as needed. If you know of someone who may have expertise in deep-sea fauna ID please feel free to forward the address to him or her, but also notify us as well.

The pages were developed in PowerPoint using high-resolution images. Some may take longer than average web pages to download. If you don’t have broadband service they may be very long downloads.

To view each set of slides, click on the desired taxa use the forward and backward buttons below the center of each slide. You can also use the full screen feature to the right of the scroll buttons. In full screen mode use the spacebar to proceed through the slides. Press the spacebar only once and wait for the next image to come up. Press Esc to end the full screen mode. This is really exciting though since we’ll now be able to more easily share images from Sta. M.
