Science:

1. Scaled back due to Monique's absence
2. Ocean Sciences paper

Engineering:

1. Combine data cataloging/ingest effort with ESP and CANON projects
2. Iterate, improve and grow data integrations and visualizations

Status:

Science:
Paper was presented with good results

Engineering:
An event driven catalog system is under development to create a catalog of files
and products that can be automatically ingested into the combined data from
the three time series (see diagram).  AWS is also being evaluated as a possible
substitution for some of the components.

Visualization work has not been started and will be in later half of the year.

2019

Science:
Monique will be gone for 2019, so science goals are still TBD.

Engineering:
My goal is to continue the catalog/visualization work and align it with the
Data TAG efforts. The interactions with the group are great at helping to define
products on top of the combined data archive so it would be helpful as one of
the 'views' that is built on the Data TAG work.
