Note: The Security System Controller CLD exam is one of the older exams released by National Instruments. The exam is not representative of the most current CLD exams. This exam places a great deal of emphasis on programatically changing the color of Boolean indicators. This technique is a bit arcane and is not emphasized in recent exams. If you are faced with a situation like this in an actual exam and you are not familiar with the technique, use a simplified approach such as the one shown in the Security System Classic Main Simplified VI included here. This solution replaces the color-changing Boolean indicators with enumerated indicators. If you are familiar with the color-changing technique and have time in the exam, use the full solution exemplified by the Security System Events Main VI.
