SolenoidDRV This circuit was developed to drive a solenoid in a Hit and Hold Fashion where full applied voltage is delivered to the coil for a predeterminbed time and them reduced to a hold level. TI's DRV101 and DRV102 solenoid driver chips are designed to such a task. This implemenation uses the Duty cycle adjust to allow for supply voltage changes to be compenstated for thus providing a near constant hold current. The board has been layed out to support three configuration: 1) Solenoid driven by high side using the DRV102, 2) Solenoid driven by low side using the DRV101, 3) Solenoid driven low side with a MOSFET to decrease voltage drop and a DRV102.
