Overview The BTC Audio demo demonstrates transfering data to/from the Blackfin BF537 Ez-Kit over Background Telemetry Channels. A DSP program samples audio data from the line-in connector on the Ez-Kit. The audio samples are streamed up to the host via BTC. The audio data is then displayed in a plot window. The audio volume can be altered by writing values to the volume BTC channel. II. Required Hardware: 1) Blackfin BF537 Ez-Kit. 2) HP-PCI ICE, HP-USB ICE, or USB cable (for onboard USB debug agent). III. Operation Description Setup: 1) Make sure that the following switches are set-up as: SW7-> ON,ON,ON,ON,ON,ON,ON,ON 2) Connect an audio signal to the Line input connector on the Ez-kit. 3) Connect speakers to the Line output connector on the Ez-kit. Usage: 1) Start the IDDE. 2) Select a HP-PCI, HP-USB or BF537 Ez-kit session. 3) Build and load the DSP program. 4) Open the BTC Memory window (View->Debug Windows->BTC Memory) 5) Restore the plots (View->Debug Windows->Plot->Restore) left.vps and right.vps. 6) Right-click on the plots and select "Auto Refresh Settings..." Select: Use BTC. Select: Sample a single value over time. Set refresh rate to 150. 7) Run the DSP Program. 8) Right-click on the plots and select "Auto Refresh" 9) Adjust the volume by selecting "Left Volume" in the BTC Memory Window. Change format to Hex32. Type in a value between 0->9 (0=loud) IV.
