This study focuses on the NAO signature in the interannual variability of tropospheric ozone, with an emphasis on spring
ozone in the northern latitudes of the American and European continents. The analysis is performed on ozonesonde data. It is
shown that the variability in NAO significantly modulates the tropospheric ozone with a correlation of ?0.57 in the lower
troposphere over North America. Finally, using model results, it is shown that the NAO signal is global in nature.
