AB: A sub-meter resolution GPS was used to measure this glacial cirque. Some data was collected during April, 2003. Most data was collected after the snow melted in June and July. Some of the summer data was combined with the winter data to compute a snow survey with spot checks using a probe. An evaluation of this data collection technique is included. All of the data was used to analyze the surface using variograms. This data supplemented DEMs, Digital Elevation Model files from digitized 7.5 minute topographic maps to create a sub-meter precision map of the cirque. The beginnings of a computer model was constructed to use this map to simulate the creation of the cirque.
