AB: By means of a model of global postseismic deformation we have computed the cumulative residual vertical displacement, the geoid heigth changes and the relative sea level variations due to all the $M\ge7$ earthquakes of the last century. Our aim is to ascertain if earthquakes could play a role in the assessment of the trend of sea level rise observed by the global tide gauges network.
