AB: Observations of electrons precipitating in the dayside entry region are presented. The measurements were gathered using instrumentation carried on a sounding rocket launched into the cusp region from Ny $\AA$lesund, Svalbard on 14 December 2002. The electron fluxes were highly structured and patchy and correlated with the electromagnetic signatures measured by the fields experiment on the rocket. The electron signatures are interpreted in terms of wave-particle interactions involving the large scale fields including Alfv\'{e}nic fluctuations as well as the inferred open-closed field line geometry. Mapping of the electrons up the field lines using time-of-flight techniques is used to help understand the coupling between the fields and the waves.
