AB: Recent years have seen an explosion in the amount of infrasound data available as new arrays are constructed worldwide. In order to provide a convenient resource for interested researchers, and to encourage wider participation in infrasound research, the Geological Survey of Canada and the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute have jointly launched an event-based infrasound archive known as GINA (Global INfrasound Archive). The archive works on the basis of free and open access. Waveform data and other associated information is contributed by station operators for defined events, and can be requested via a simple web interface. Data is stored internally in CSS3.0 and is available in a wide range of common formats.
