CO2, CH4, and N2O are major greenhouse gases which concentrations in atmosphere are continuously increasing by various human
activities. Although these species are observed many places in the world by several analytical techniques, precise knowledge
about sources and sinks of these gases are progressive. Our study was focused on the methodology of effective monitoring of
these gases above mentioned, especially gas exchange between atmosphere and terrestrial ecosystems. As gas fluxes from soil
to air is necessary to be observed by difference of gas concentration during adequate time by closed chamber method, frequent
measurement is required for precise estimation of the gas fluxes. Combined GC system for CO2, CH4, and N2O with using 3
detectors (TCD for CO2, FID for CH4, and ECD for N2O), 8 separation columns, 2 switching valves, and 2 GC ovens was designed
and developed to measure three gases simultaneously. 1 or 2 mlSTP volume of air is required to measure each sample with
analytical time is about 7 minutes. Ultra purified He gas was used as carrier gas with N2 and CH4 is used for make-up gases.
