AB: An inter-compared solar viewing 0.0035cm-1 resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometer has been installed in Thule, Greenland (76.5N, 68.8W, 225masl) since October 1999. This is part of the arctic primary site for the Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC) [Kurylo and Zander, 2001]. The autonomously controlled instrument has recorded spectra in the 750-5000cm-1 region at a rate of 25% of possible observing days since that time excluding polar night (~20 Oct to ~20 Feb). Constituent analysis of the high-resolution solar spectra is performed using the optimal estimation technique implemented in SFIT2. Total column abundances and chemical composition information on a coarse vertical scale are retrieved. We present and discuss the trend in the Arctic stratosphere for years 1999 to 2005 of chemically active stratospheric species O3, HCl, HNO3 as well as inactive species HF and N2O. Kurylo, M.
