We derive ozone profiles and tropospheric ozone from SCIAMACHY nadir-viewing radiance measurments using the optimal
estimation technique. This algorithm, originally developed for GOME data, includes detailed treatments of wavelength and
radiometric calibrations and enhanced forward modeling (i.e., LIDORT with additional polarization correction and Ring
effect). The results are compared with available Dobson and ozonesonde observations.
