TI: Lightning-induced intensification of the ionospheric sporadic E layer

AB: We have found a statistically significant intensification and descent in altitude of the mid-latitude sporadic E layer in response to lightning. This talk will summarise the results and look at evidence for each of several possible mechanisms from wave action to a direct electrical connection.
