AB: The Office National d'Etudes et de Recherches Aerospatiales (ONERA) has designed a multi-wavelength sensor to study the electromagnetic radiation of lightning flashes. Radiation at 60, 114, 300 Mhz is recorded with high temporal resolution while the ground electric field, also digitalized, triggers the record of the RF signal. The National Observatory of Athens (NOA) is operating the long range VLF ZEUS system. The ZEUS network is composed of 5 European stations and monitors continuoulsy the lightning activity in Europe and over the Mediterranean Sea. We will present preliminary results of the analysis of concurrent observations from both instruments. For instance we will detail typical observations of cloud-to-ground and intracloud flashes from both instruments located in the vicinity of ONERA laboratory (South of Paris, France). We will also discuss the type of flash components that are sensed independently and simultaneously by both instruments.
