NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is working with a consortium of Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU's) in cooperation
with several other Federal Agencies toward establishing engineering degree programs at the TCU's. The program under
development between Goddard and Salish Kootenai College envisions a student instrument component in which students will
participate in hands-on engineering/instrument development currently underway through summer internships with academic year
follow up. Program components of the overall collaboration include course preparation, interim on-site instruction, distance
learning instruction, class projects, student mentoring and short, class-project based internships at Goddard's Applied
Engineering and Technology Division.
