AB: Scientist involvement has been a focus of the NASA Space Science program Education and Public Outreach Program. It reflects a belief that the talents of the space science community can and should directly serve broad national needs in science, mathematics, and technology education. We will discuss the underlying philosophy and structure of the program, the programmatic benefits and challenges of the approaches, and future plans.
