AB: We develop a new geodetic inversion method with multi time scale. Our new inversion method can treat crustal deformation as superposition of different time scale phenomena. In earth science, the observed crustal deformation are contained many phenomena with various time scale. In order to understand the specific phenomenon, we usually analyze the data with typical time scale of it. Yabuki and Matsu_fura (1992) reconstruct static image of seismic sources from geodetic data. This method doesn_ft treat time series. To treat time series data, we improve it by following: 1 extract long-period deformation from time series of geodetic data. 2 estimate slip distribution by inversion analysis using geodetic data from step 1. 3 correct the geodetic data using calculated deformation from estimated slip distribution. 4 judge whether corrected data still have significant deformation or not. 5 divide time series of corrected data if step 4 answers yes. By iterating above steps, we can detect significant deformation from short time scale (e.g. co-seismic) to long one(e.g. slow slip). Spatio-temporal slip distribution is expressed the superposition of slip distribution at each scale. We can detect the starting time of significant deformation.
