The Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) instrument was launched on December 18, 1999 onboard the NASA Earth
Observing System (EOS) Terra satellite. MISR provides a unique view of Earth, obtaining precisely calibrated images taken
simultaneously at nine different angles and four wavelengths to produce radiance, aerosol, cloud and land surface data at
multiple spatial and temporal resolution.
Current EOS data can be searched and ordered through the EOS Data Gateway (EDG). This interface was not designed for
customizing data products. A separate interface providing spatial and parameter subsets of MISR products was developed by
and has been available from the NASA Langley Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) for several years.
In an effort to increase data usability and customer service, a more intuitive and simpler interface allowing customization
of MISR data products is currently being developed. The interface will replace the current two-step process and it will
provide new capabilities such as combining parameters from multiple data products into a single file, which enhance the ease
of data usage and augment the process of scientific discovery. Examples of the data customization capabilities will be
presented.
MISR data are processed, archived and distributed by the NASA Langley Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC). Data,
