AB: The intraoceanic subduction simulation developed by Taras Gerya has been run using as many as 40 billion tracers. The incredible spatial resolution afforded by these computationally expensive simulations has expanded our understanding of multiscale phenomena in subduction zones. However, the interactive visualization of these high resolution runs has mandated new software, especially new software suited for collaboration over the internet. We present a new version of our tool, WEB-IS4, which allows rapid, sub-second, visualization of datasets on the order of 10-100GB. WEB-IS4 performs dynamic region-of-interest retrieval, colormap application, and can produce composite displays of multiple fields - for example chemical composition and temperature.
