During the first 15 months of the Cassini Saturn Tour, the Cassini RADAR instrument has conducted a number of observations in
both active and passive modes. Data from four Titan flybys, seven distant Titan observations, eight distant icy satellite
observations, three sets of microwave source scans, and four engineering tests were collected. The Titan flybys provide
relatively high resolution (500 m) synthetic aperture radar images, while the distant scatterometer observations provide disk
integrated backscatter from Titan and the other icy satellites in the Saturn system. The engineering tests and microwave
source scans provide specialized data about how the radar system is performing. Calibrating the various operating modes of
the Cassini RADAR is an ongoing, challenging task. In this paper we will examine the status of the current radar and
radiometer calibration using the available data. We will discuss these results and future plans to improve absolute and
relative calibration of brightness temperatures and radar backscattering cross-sections.
