AB: We will present results from the high temporal frequency observations of the martian atmospheric boundary layer from MER Mini-TES. This work will address not only the detailed retrievals from these observations, but also their diurnal trends, seasonal differences and differences between the rovers. We will also discuss analysis of the information content of the Mini-TES retrievals. The extent of convection, the strength of turbulent overturnings and the dominant frequencies for each of these processes will be reported. Inferences about the convective or shear instability of the atmospheric boundary layer will be drawn from the results.
