AB: The Millstone Hill incoherent scatter radar (42.6N, 288.5E, 53Mlat) operated during September 2005 as part of the World Month ISR campaign, with the objective to study ionospheric and thermospheric behavior during the equinox season and low solar activity. The radar operated daily from 0800 UTC to 0000 UTC in a 3-position antenna pointing mode, providing E and F-region coverage of local scalar and vector parameters. We present an overview of the observed features in the E and F-region, including such parameters as electron density, electron temperature, ion temperature, electric fields, meridional wind (E and F-region) and zonal wind (E-region). Particular emphasis will be given to the observed day-to-day variability in temperature and winds in the lower thermosphere.
