AB: During the conjugate reconnection event, Cluster and Double Star (TC-1) were near the neutral sheet and simultaneously detected the signatures of the reconnection. Tailward flow followed by Earthward flow detected by Cluster at about 15 Re, while the earthward plasma flow followed by tailward flow were observed by TC-1 at about 10 Re. It is found that the slope of the walen regression line switches sign at the flow reversals as expected from reconnection. The X component of the magnetic curvature vector has switched the sign from tailward direction to Earthward direction, and the magnetic filed and particle changes are consistent with the passage of an X-type neutral line moving tailward. By using multi-point analysis and observations field, particle and waves, we study the structure and instabilities of current sheet, and the observations have been compared with computer simulations.
